Hi, I am Jack. I was picked up as a stray in Montana, and spent several months in a shelter there before being released to rescue. I am about 4-5 years old, and am an Agouti colored (blended face markings) Malamute. I don't have a lot of experience with new things or people, it seems I was kept isolated a lot in my former home. As a result I can be quite shy and even a little fearful of new things. I am good in a quiet setting and around kind and gentle people and dogs. I would prefer a calm, quiet home without children, since high levels of activity cause me quite a bit of stress. I am nice on a leash, and do like to take walks. I need about 45 minutes to an 1 hour each day of steady exercise. I would do best in a home with a regular routine that I can count on. I love belly rubs, cuddling, chasing my own tail, and recently started learning to play fetch. I actually prefer to be at my most active in the evening, and like being outside at night; it is calmer and quieter then. Truly, I am just a beautiful, sensitive soul who needs a loving, kind home who will help me learn how to bloom. Are you the one?
