Sweet Pea

Sweet Pea came to Moonsong as a part of the “Eight Above” rescue operation.  She had lived for several years neglected in the mountains.  Another dog had split her ear and possibly hurt her jaw.  It doesn’t appear as if she received proper medical care for the injuries.  What a trauma! But this brave girl still hopes to find a person to love.

Sweet Pea is good with some other mellow dogs, like her pack mates Tank and Dolly.  She's still active and walks well on a leash.  Sweet Pea is a little shy when she meets new people, but warms right up, especially if you have treats!  She will need a home with adults or children over 13.

Sweet Pea has had some tough breaks in life. But she's still got a lot of love to share. If you would ask about her, she would be so happy! Won't you consider giving this sweet little old lady a home?

Sweet Pea takes her first drink of water in months, having survived on just snow for water on the remote mountain top.

She's seen some sad times, but she's still an optimist. This adorable, mature lady is a quiet, friendly dog who likes to explore her surroundings and enjoys being petted.
