Miss Mimi is a 1.5 year old malamute girl who came to us from a municipal shelter in Washington. She is absolutely gorgeous with an expressive face and a beautiful coat. She unfortunately was picked up from a domestic violence case when animal control officers were called in to keep her safe. She had babies but no one was able to find them, and she has been missing them. She is now spayed and does not have to worry about that again. And she is safe here...but she is a bit uncomfortable with men at first. She does warm up to them when she discovers that they will not hurt her. She is ready for a new home and she deserves a great home too. She is very smart and very trainable and will make someone a great companion. Please contact the Thompson River Animal Care Shelter for more information on Mimi.
You can fill out their adoption application here: www.pet-tracs.com and click on the Adoption tab.
Yes Bruce looks kind of silly in his picture, but he has a habit of escaping out of the yard and this bad boy got hit by a car. Thankfully he is okay but he had to be shaved to check for injuries. Bruce is a big, goofy Malamute seeking lots of love and attention. He enjoys spending his mornings outside in the fresh air and soaking up some sunshine before it gets to hot out. Bruce needs to find a home where he will be kept safe and not allowed to roam, except when on a leash and accompanied by a human companion. Bruce wants to remind everyone that all senior animal adoptions are half price. Please contact the Lewis and Clark Humane Society for more information on Bruce.
The following Mals (and occasional other breed) are listed as a courtesy to the owners wishing to re-home them. The shortest deadlines for re-homing are listed at the top. Note: Unless otherwise noted, these dogs have not been fully evaluated or temperament tested by Moonsong Malamute Rescue. Please contact the person associated with each dog.
