The Rescue Showcase is put on every year by AMAL and open to adopters from affiliate rescue groups that are in the region of that year's National Specialty. This year it was held in Denver, CO. and Moonsong was invited to ask their adopters to participate. We had a showing of 5 dogs from 4 different adoptive families. There were a total of 15 different rescue dogs and their owners. Lynne Anderson, AMAL's president wrote this dedication to the Rescue Showcase: "The AMAL National Rescue Showcase is dedicated to all rescuers, our affiliates, and those who provide foster homes for dogs with, literally, no place to go. Their work is endless, turning frightened and abandoned animals into the loving pets you see in our Showcase. These unsung heroes find their reward in the grateful look in a dog's eyes and in the happy smiles of their new owners. To all who nurture, protect, and then let go... Thank You."
Moonsong volunteers, Liz Copp, Freddie Qualls, Niki Tischhauser and Katy Flanagan were also presented with the Christenson Award for their participation in the Eight Above rescue in Montana. Niki and Katy were present at the AMCA Banquet, where AMAL President, Lynne Anderson, presented them with the award.

AMAL hosted a really nice reception after the Rescue Showcase and the dogs were invited! Here Bob Sutherland, AMAL VP and the Alaska Mal Rescue affiliate talks with Eric Starzynski, Paul Ganci and Sharon Nichols with Polaris Rescue in CO. and Katy Flanagan with MMR.
