That it costs Moonsong Malamute Rescue (MMR) $60 to keep one dog in rescue for a single month (food, supplements, medications, chewies, bedding)? And that is just for the necessities. Our adoption fees cover only vetting costs and micro-chips. All other expenses, such as collars, leashes, bowls, dog houses, kennel panels, gasoline for transports and home checks, and the necessities mentioned above, are paid for out of our own pockets.
