Have a Heart - Donate a bed to a homeless pet!
We have chosen Kuranda dog beds for our facility because they are so good for our dogs. We still need two beds so we will have enough for all of our kennels. If you would like to donate a bed so another dog can sleep in proper comfort, please click here.
Protect your pet. ShelterCare Pet Insurance Programs

Have you ever considered the terrible circumstance you may be placed in if your beloved pet were to become very sick or seriously injured and you couldn't afford it's care? ShelterCare Insurance is an inexpensive way to protect you both, and you can sign up by clicking on the ShelterCare box above. Using this link will also help MMR, because if you sign up from this web page, ShelterCare will donate $25 to MMR to help provide supplies and food for our rescued Malamutes. All of your pets are eligible for this insurance, this service is not limited to MMR adopted pets, so sign up today and protect those furbabies!

Did you know that:

It costs Moonsong Malamute Rescue (MMR) $52.50 to keep one dog in rescue for a single month (food, supplements, medications, chewies, bedding)? And that is just for the necessities. Our adoption fees cover only vetting costs and micro-chips. All other expenses, such as collars, leashes, bowls, dog houses, kennel panels, gasoline for transports and home checks, and the necessities mentioned above, are paid for out of our own pockets.

Did you also know:

That if just 35 people contributed $10 a month each, it would cover the basic care of our rescue Mals and even leave a little extra for emergency equipment replacements, transport from another state, or the occasional extra veterinary need? $10. That is equal to 2 matinee tickets, or 6 sodas, or dinner out for 1 person. 33 cents a day. Imagine what we could do if those 35 people donated $20 a month, or $30!

Please consider being a monthly donor as a member of the Moonsong Musher's Club (see below).

For those of you that need to donate to a 501c3 organization for tax purposes, you can make donations to our affiliate national organization, the Alaskan Malamute Assistance League (AMAL). Just make sure to specify Moonsong Malamute Rescue on your payment.

SPECIAL NOTE: If you feed Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin and Stomach in the 37.5 lb. bags, please cut out the weight circles on the upper side of the bags and send them to us. (See the Contact page for our address) We feed more than 5 dogs, so we belong to Purina's Pro Club, and can turn in the weight circles for points that are redeemable for dog food rebate checks and vet visits valued at $70 for every 7000 points! Each lb. of food is worth 11 points, so it adds up fast.
